- It could be public (open and available to join for everyone), closed (available to find through research but request to join needs to be sent and approved by an admin) or secret (people can’t find it through search – joining is possible only by shared link).

FACEBOOK BUSINESS MANAGER
To create your account go to www.business.facebook.com.
It is like an “umbrella” for your business, which branches out to ads manager and gives you and your employees the access to your business pages.
You can manage everything from this place. You can link your Instagram account as well.
FACEBOOK ADS MANAGER
To create ads manager, you must have your business manager set up. In your business manager click on ad manager and create a new ad account which you will be able to manage straight away.
This is the place where you will be able to create your first ad campaign as well as check all active, completed, stopped, and paused ads. You will be able to access your data from your ads history. Are you excited about it? That is the place where the magic happens.
FACEBOOK ADS CAMPAIGNS
You can create an ad campaign by clicking CREATE NEW CAMPAIGN in your ad manager. You can check the ads details in here.
FACEBOOK AD SETS
That is the place where the ad setting up happens. That is the place where you will be able to name your ad set, to create the ad itself as well as chose your campaign objective such as:
- Brand awareness
- Traffic

- Lead generation
- Page likes and many more
Here you will need to address the purpose of your ad.
FACEBOOK AD
That is the actual ad creation. Here you will create the catchy caption explaining your ad purpose followed by a short video or picture (set of pictures). YOU MUST NOT FORGET ABOUT CTA which stands for call to action. CTA is crucial as you must guide your targeted audience to what they need to do next.
FACEBOOK AUDIENCE and TARGETING
Did you know that you can target everyone who fits in your perfect client AVATAR category? Getting to know who your customers are is a crucial step for a successful Facebook Ads campaign. Let me ask you a few questions:
DO YOU KNOW WHO YOUR PERFECT CUSTOMER IS? WHAT THEY LIKE? WHAT THEIR STRUGGLES ARE? WHERE DO THEY LIVE? HOW OLD THEY ARE? WHAT GENDER THEY ARE? WHAT IS THEIR OCCUPATION, HOBBY, MARITAL STATUS? If you still did not work it out, what are you waiting for? Please write the answers right away! By writing the answers you will gain clarity around your perfect customer AVATAR.
When you know who your perfect customer is, you can target them by adding their interest, occupation, status, country, language etc. in the ad targeting area.
ADS PLACEMENT
It is the place you want your ad to be shown. You can click on the automatic placement which is going to be the placement chosen by Facebook itself or you can choose your own placements. What do I mean by choosing your own placement?
I mean that you have the control to decide where you want your ad to be shown up such as Instagram Feed, Facebook feed, Instagram stories, Facebook stories, messenger and many more.
YOU MUST REMEMBER THAT THE PICTURE SIZES ARE DIFFERENT IN EACH OF THE PLACEMENTS! ONE DOESN’T FIT ALL!
I hope you gained clearer understanding of the social media terminology and you understand the importance of setting up your BUSINESS MANAGER, ADS MANAGER as well as setting up a Facebook Business page and Instagram Business account.
Take advantage of the large audience on social media and take your business to the next level.
